Gabrielle Bellecour (Claire Seton) is the Chief of Staff to the rather unhinged French Education Minister, Louis Tesson (Tom Westland). Her daughter Sara (Claire McGrath) is stubbornly seeking independence and her energetic maneater of a mother Cécile (Lauren Klein) won't leave her alone about her troubles with men, ever since Gaby separated from her husband. This, combined with Louis' antics in his portfolio and his soon-to-be-ex-wife Michelle (Jen Taylor) lingering like a bad smell, means that Gaby's life, both professionally and personally is chaotic, but for her it's ordered chaos. And so, when the young Éric (Christian Dent) starts as the Ministry's new cleaning and maintenance guy, she would never have expected him to turn her world, and the rest of the Ministry, upside-down.
Panique premiered at the Théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin in 2009, and has been re-performed many times and even broadcast on television twice since.
And now, complete with ENGLISH SUR-TITLES, we bring this fantastic farce right to you Canberra, as directed by Brody Warren.
